Sunday Million

Tournaments

Sunday used to be about the roast, the paper and a nap in a warm chair. Then the Sunday Million Poker Tournament turned up and gave the day a second act.

It has been the flagship PokerStars tournament since 2006 and sits in the Tournaments category as one of the most recognised online poker events anywhere. Players from across the globe take a seat at the same virtual felt, from long-established names to qualifiers who arrived through a satellite.

The format is 8-max No Limit Hold'em, and it is open to anyone who fancies a seat.

Bets, Payouts & Rules

The structure is straightforward tournament poker: you take your seat and you play No Limit Hold'em against the rest of the field.

  • Game type: No Limit Hold'em, played 8-max, so a maximum of eight players per table.
  • Format: the exact tournament format can vary from one edition to the next.
  • Entry routes: direct entry, or qualification through one of the hundreds of scheduled satellites.
  • Prizes: awarded according to finishing position, with deeper runs reaching the paid places.

To find it, search for "Sunday Million" in the Tourney or Tournaments tab, depending on the platform you are playing on. From there you can enter directly or register for a satellite.

Features & Bonus Rounds

Satellites

Satellites run throughout the week in the build-up to each event, giving players a route to a seat rather than entering directly. There are hundreds of them on the schedule.

Spin & Go Qualifiers

The Spin & Go tab regularly carries a Spin & Go that offers entry to the Sunday Million, so it works as an alternative qualifying route alongside the traditional satellites.

Sunday Majors

The Sunday Million sits alongside a wider schedule of Sunday Majors, including the Sunday Kickoff and the Sunday Supersonic. They round out the bill like a support act that somehow knows every word. Full details live on the Sunday Tournaments page, and the Tournaments or Tourney tab is where you will find the rest of the schedule.

Taste & Feel

The atmosphere builds gradually as the field thins and tables break, and the eight-seat tables keep things tight enough to follow every opponent. If you would rather take it all in slowly, the roast will still be there in a hand or two.
