Rake is the fee applied to the games we spread, and this page sets out how it works across our poker tables. The dealer will not pause mid shuffle to talk you through it, so here it is in writing instead.
Below you will find how rake is applied, when it is not applied at all, how mixed games are handled, and how player numbers are counted in a hand.
How Rake Is Applied Across Our Games
Each game we run has its own defined rake structure, organised by game type. The full breakdowns are laid out in the tables on this page.
Ring game rake is worked out as a true percentage, using the round half to even method of rounding.
When No Rake Is Charged
If a hand finishes on the first betting round, no rake is taken. In practice, that means:
- Hold'em and Omaha: hands that end before the flop
- Stud variants: hands that end before Fourth Street
- Draw variants: hands that end before the Draw
Mixed Games and Rotations
HORSE
The HORSE mixed game runs only Limit games in its rotation, so hands are raked according to the Fixed Limit structures. Despite the name, no horses are dealt in.
Mixed Games With Varied Betting Formats
Some of our mixed games rotate between Fixed Limit and No Limit and/or Pot Limit formats. At these tables, each hand is raked according to the type of game actually dealt in that hand, rather than the table as a whole.
How Players in a Hand Are Counted
Where the rake tables refer to the number of players, that means the players who were dealt into that particular hand. It is not the number of players seated at the table.
Ring Games and Zoom Tables
The structures shown on this page cover both regular ring game tables and Zoom tables, so there is no separate set of rules to learn if you move between the two.
Non-USD Currency Rake
Caps for games in currencies other than US Dollars are subject to quarterly review. They may be adjusted in response to movements in exchange rates.
Special Poker Game Variants
We also run a selection of special poker game variants. Rake information for those games is published separately, and the link to that page is available alongside the tables here.
Playing Responsibly
Poker is entertainment, and outcomes at the tables are never certain. Take breaks, use the account tools available to you, and only play in a way that feels comfortable to you.
Ready When You Are
Have a read through the structures, get familiar with how rake works in the formats you enjoy, and join a table whenever it suits. The chairs are famously patient.
