The Irish Winter Festival (IWF) will take place in the Burlington Hotel, Dublin from Friday 26th October - Monday 29th October 2012. The Main Event buy in is set at €1,000 + €125 registration fee (VAT inclusive), with a full selection on side events on offer too.

The IWF Main Event will feature a NEW special promotion, called 'SIX SURVIVORS' (note the change from last years Sole Survivor promotion!!) What is SIX SURVIVORS you may ask? About the IWF

The Irish Winter Festival, run in conjunction with the Jackpot Card Club is traditionally held during the October Bank Holiday weekend in Dublin City Centre.

The four day festival has become famous for it's novelty side events (Blind Man's Bluff, Mythical, Win The Button) and interesting night time entertainment in the bar (Beer Pong, Revolving Darts, Flip for a Drink).

The poker tournament also attracts many well know players every year, including WSOP Finalists Eoghan O Dea and Irish Open Champions Niall Smyth, Neil Channing, Marty Smyth and others.

The IWF 2011 Main Event attracted 395 participants, with the first place finisher John Keown taking home €100,000.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Players must be 18+ years of age in order to participate in any Irish Winter Festival poker tournament
  2. Participants must adhere to the tournament rules set out in the event programme which is handed out at the Irish Winter Festival 
  3. Upon entering the venue of the Irish Winter Festival poker event, players consent to their image and likeness being used in the media, most notably by national press, poker media and online including a live stream of the event.
  4. If an arrangement is entered into by any players at the Irish Winter Festival with regard to the distribution of any prize money (a “Deal”), Paddy Power and/or Countside Limited has complete discretion as to whether to distribute such prize money in accordance with that Deal. In the event that the prize money is so distributed, neither Paddy Power nor Countside Limited shall have any liability or culpability in relation to any aspect of the Deal including, without limitation, if the players’ calculations prove to be incorrect and the Deal shall be the sole responsibility of the relevant players. In the event that the Deal is calculated incorrectly by the players, unless otherwise agreed by Countside Ltd or Paddy Power, the relevant prize money will be paid in accordance with the original prize fund calculation.
