In real money cash (ring) games The House (Paddy Power) earns its money by retaining a small portion of the pot. The amount that it retains depends on the number of Players participating and the table stakes, however not all real money hands are raked as we have a 'No Flop, No Drop' policy. If all betting position players fold before the community cards are dealt the house does not take a rake. See our how to play section for more details.
We now calculate rake on a Weighted Contribution System. This new system is based on a proportional contributed rake method instead of the current dealt method. That means that Cash Table Rake is based on your personal contribution instead of your participation in the pot. i.e. the rake is allocated to each player based on each player's contribution share to the total called bets, replacing the current equal split of the Rake based on player's participation in the pot.
The rate you earn Paddy Points on the cash tables will change because of this. This is because the Weighted Contribution System accurately reflects what you have contributed to the pot, and Paddy Point accumulation on Cash Tables are now based on your rake (as currently is set in tournaments) replacing the current "Total table rake" system.
